Tasting Notes
Deep red with crimson hues. Incredible depth of colour and aroma. Chocolate, licorice, blackcurrant and a hint of spearmint are all classic indicators of Cabernet and this wine has them all, along with Cedarwood and fresh pouch tobacco, confectionary blackcurrant jubes and also new leather characters. A really complex aromatic wine. The palate is rich and robust, with fine-grained tannins, ripe red fruit flavours and all the nuanced flavours associated with the complexities of the aroma. A bold Cabernet Sauvignon with presence and persistence to be enjoyed for many years to come.

VINTAGE SUMMARY
2022 saw a cooler-than-average growing season that led to extended ripening conditions and retention of natural acidity. As a result, patience was required to wait for optimum harvest dates ensuring full flavour development and acid balance was reached Patience was rewarded with outstanding flavours and varietal definition with exceptional quality.

This wine was matured for 15 months in 300 litre French oak Hogsheads
