The Barossa Boy was once just ‘the little tacker’ to his parents, Helen and Grant. He enjoyed a free range Barossa childhood, scrawling bike tracks through the vineyards and making plenty of mischief.
Our Little Tacker GSM is the ultimate Barossa wine blend: fruitful, fun and youthful. Like an adventurous child it begins vibrant and full of lively fruitiness, then gradually reveals its underlying spice and complexity. Its deeper notes hint at hair-raising adventures, evocative of fearless and carefree outdoor days that stretched forever. To Trent, each mouthful is a reminder that every winding dirt path was part of the little tacker’s Barossa story, and led him right here today.

Vintage Summary
The 2020 Barossa vintage delivered exceptional wine quality despite significant challenges. Yields were up to 50% below average due to low rainfall, spring frosts, wind, and extreme summer heat. Cooler conditions in January and February helped preserve fruit quality. Standout varieties include Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet, though supply is limited.
Tasting Notes
Crafted from the exceptional yet low-yielding 2020 Barossa vintage, this GSM blend is rich, layered, and incredibly expressive. Aromas of raspberry pastille, plum, and roasted walnut lead to a palate of blackberry, stewed mulberry, sweet cinnamon spice, and hints of chocolate and cigar box. Silky in texture with fine Grenache tannins and earthy Mataro complexity, it finishes long, juicy and well balanced. A beautifully integrated wine that rewards a little air time and truly sings when paired with food.
